Jay and Gina York founded Damascus Homes in Loganville, GA with firm roots of faith and a passion for excellence. Little did they know that just 12 years later, Atlanta new homebuyers would catapult Damascus Homes to a 'TOP 20' Atlanta Homebuilder, with numerous accolades of professionalism and awards. The guiding principle of "waking up every day to work diligently, and put the customer first" has proven that a business can be blessed with exponential growth, and still maintain the one-on-one personal feel that is so vitally important to today's homebuyer.

Damascus Homes is a "Certified Professional Home Builder" as well as "International Code Council" Certified, which guarantees our dedication to the highest level of professionalism, customer service, and homeowner satisfaction. Damascus Homes is a TOP 400 U.S. Homebuilder, and continues to 'change the standard' as opposed to conforming to the way 'things have always been done.' You will see this clearly demonstrated in our position of closing on Sunday.

You will find peace of mind knowing that your utility bills will be 25-40% lower than other homes, a GUARANTEE made by Damascus Homes' dedication to E3, "Energy Efficient Excellence." E3 is a symbol of our commitment to the Comfort Home mission of providing advanced technology for more comfortable, energy efficient living…because it's the right thing to do. Why would we build your home, knowing your hard-earned wages may be taken from you in the form of poorly-insulated housing? It’s just not who we are at our core.

Why Are We Closed Sunday?

"To whom much has been given, much is expected," says Jay, "so I know the Lord expects a lot from Damascus Homes." The company began closing its doors on Sundays, though this wisdom is contrary to popular industry thought. "40% of the typical building business comes on Sunday," says Jay, "but the Lord dealt with me and my wife, Gina, about it for over a year." On February 1st, 2005, the couple agreed to fully obey God in this area, and though they were afraid, they've not seen any decline in sales, but rather an increase. "It was scary, yes. But we've gained nothing but benefits from it," testifies Jay.
